IEDA acts as your trusted advocate, working through established relationships with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), state and federal agencies, and elected officials. We confidently ensure that economic development issues remain on the forefront of Indiana’s agenda.

Collective Advocacy in Action

Throughout the state legislative session, IEDA members are alerted about important legislative developments. When necessary, we reach out to our network—our "One State, Many Voices"—to promote the "pro-business growth" position on specific legislation.

Our advocacy efforts are led by a dedicated, volunteer Legislative Committee. This inclusive committee brings together appointed representatives from each of the nine congressional districts, along with at-large members, to unify our voice.

Working in close partnership with our lobbying firm, Taft, this committee:

• Develops legislation that empowers economic growth.
• Monitors bills that impact Indiana’s business climate.
• Supports the "pro-business growth" position on all critical legislation.
