The position of Executive Director provides the opportunity to work closely with County and municipal government officials to develop creative ways to attract new business and industry. With the support of a working Board of Directors, the Executive Director’s focus is on coordinating business attraction and retention projects by direct business support as well workforce-planning, improvement of quality-of-life and residential infrastructure. The Executive Director will provide leadership and direction in developing economic strategies to ensure the successful implementation of the overall vision for Carroll County and the successful outcomes for long and short-range economic development goals and plans.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in business, finance, economics, public administration, or related disciplines from an accredited college or university, and at least three (3) years’ experience in economic development. An equivalent combination of education or experience sufficient to perform the job will be considered. Experience in project management, real estate, marketing, and finance a plus. Compensation offered will be competitive with comparable communities, and commensurate with experience and education background.
