Perry County Development Corporation (PCDC), a private non-profit Local Economic Development Organization, is seeking a full-time President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO will serve as the principal industrial/business promoter for Perry County (IN). Successful candidates must possess strong verbal and written communications skills, computer skills, excellent organizational skills and strong presentation skills.
Requirements include at least a Bachelor’s Degree in the area of Marketing, Economics, or correlated discipline; five to eight years’ experience in community and/or economic development is preferred.
The ideal candidate shall be a highly self-motivated, self-directed person who achieves established goals with limited supervision and have a willingness to become immersed in community activities. Previous experience developing business, marketing and strategic plans strongly preferred. A demonstrated record of project success is essential in areas including Business Retention and Expansion, Real Estate Development, Marketing, Attraction and Project Management. A familiarity with Workforce Development, Entrepreneurial Initiatives and Project Financing is highly desirable.
