Aspire Johnson County Now Hiring: Business Development Director
The Specialized Recruiting Group’s division of Express Employment Professionals in Greenwood is assisting the Aspire Economic Development + Chamber Alliance in recruiting a Business Development Director.
The ideal candidate for this position will be incredibly professional, collaborative, and organized. This position requires someone capable of understanding and adapting to a variety of audiences, from CEO and plant manager, to HR manager or any number of positions, and can develop a positive relationship with all of them. The ideal candidate will have good discretion, be self-motivated, and will remain objective when working with a company on their best location option. The ideal candidate will also have a genuine passion for business and economic development, a positive attitude, and strong interpersonal communications and customer service skills.
The Business Development Director is a member of the Economic Development team and will collaborate with the Vice President of Economic Development to deliver strong customer service and management of business attraction and expansion project leads, and is responsible for the planning and execution of regular business retention visits designed to connect local business to resources, foster good stakeholder relations, and inform economic development plans. This position is an important liaison with companies, communities, and other partner organizations.
This is an opportunity to work directly with existing and potential new businesses to support business location, expansion, and success. You will work to convene a variety of business and community leaders together to support the local economy.
This position pays a salary commensurate with skills and experience and qualifies for full benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, 401(k), paid time off, and holiday pay.
