The Scott County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC) of Indiana is searching for a people, process, and business-focused Executive Director to manage the economic development of Scott County and the operation of Mid-America Science Park (MASP). The Executive Director is responsible for the identification, development, and maintenance of open, strategic and effective relationships and partnerships with local, regional, state, and federal agencies, service providers, developers, business leaders, and educational institutions. The Executive Director will evaluate, promote, and support the business and economic development interests of Scott County to create new jobs and capital investments through the expansion of existing industry. The Executive Director oversees the City of Scottsburg’s Management Contract of Mid-America Science Park and will provide program and financial accountability for both the SCEDC and MASP.

Bachelor’s Degree in public affairs, economic development, management, or equivalent job-related experience. Preferred Master’s Degree, CEcD (Certified Economic Developer) and/ or Significant economic development experience and a comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of economic development, particularly as they relate to LEDO management, communications and business development. Experience in accounting, marketing, management, and community development.
